The first time I heard Pete DeMaio speak I was moved with tears. He shares his story with such emotion that you can’t help but feel his pain from past decisions all while experiencing his love for his wife and family. He is willing to share with anyone as it allows him to express how it transformed his relationship with Our dear Lord. When Pete speaks with young men and women he earns their respect because he respects and loves them. He’s not afraid to be real while being someone they enjoy being around. So many of my students admire him because of how he has treated them since the first day he entered their lives.
After hearing Pete talk about Tricia I could not wait to meet her. How Blessed is she to be treasured by such a genuine man. In return, the support and love Tricia has for him shows in the way they raise their beautiful children.
I got a chance to get to know one of their sons more at the recent Pro-life summit in January. I can only smile knowing they have instilled in him a hard fast love for Jesus.
I am honored to know Pete and Tricia and the more I get to know their whole family the more inspired I am to keep my faith as a constant priority in my life.
